By contacting me regarding commissions or purchasing a premade fursuit you state that you agree to the terms and conditions below.

Payment
Payments are accepted via Bank Transfer/PayPal for UK commissioners/buyers and PayPal only for International commissioners/buyers.
Missrars Creatures is based in Scotland, UK. All quotes are in Great British Pounds (GBP£) as this is the domestic currency.
Before work is started on a commission piece, a 50% non-refundable deposit for research, materials and overheads must be paid. The rest of the cost is due prior to shipping.
Payment plans are accepted for fullsuits and partials but payment in full is preferred. Head only commissions are pay in full only.
Typical payment plans are 3-part payment plans: 1st – 50%, 2nd – 40%, 3rd – 10% +shipping charge. If you are interested in a payment plan, it can be discussed via email. Plans are accepted at discretion on a case-by-case basis.
Missed Payments/Change of Circumstance
Here at Missrars Creatures we opperate missed payments a bit more leniently than others. We have a 3-strikes policy. If you acrue 3-strikes, your commission/order will be cancelled and you will not be refunded as per our refunds policy. A strike occurs when you miss a payment without acceptable notice. You will be informed via email if/each time this happens.
If for any reason a client cannot make a payment, they MUST contact Missrars Creatures in email format 3 weeks prior to agreed payment date. Failure to do this counts as 1-strike. In the event of extenuating circumstances, we may decide to waive a strike at our discression, however we must still be contacted before the agreed payment date. Email and we can discuss a new payments schedule better suited to your needs.
Any time a payment is missed for a project, that project is put on hold and work commences on alternative projects.
In the event of loss of employment, please contact us in email format ASAP to discuss an extended pause/hold on your commission/order. While we will not hold a project forever, we can pause the commission for a short period of time at our discretion.
It’s important to note that ransoming or withholding payment to pressure faster work counts as 3-strikes automatically. Your commission/order will be cancelled and you will not be refunded. This is a form of extortion and while not appreciated by us, it is illegal. It will not make us work faster and you will not get your items faster. This is also the case for emotional blackmail. E.g. using a family death to make us sew faster than we are physically able to.
This policy has been enacted due to a large volume of missed payments from various clients over the years. Without payment, work cannot continue.
Shipping
Shipping fees and import duties (where applicable) are to be paid by the commissioner/buyer. Shipping fees are calculated upon completion of costume. Every costume weight varies so we are unable to estimate shipping fees until complete.
Import fees vary by country but it is recommended to keep some money saved (50% of Order Value + Shipping) just in case you are subject to charges. If you are EU based this is more likely to occur as they have a much higher rate of enforcement for thier import policies.
Warranty
If a costume arrives damaged (parcel intact) or breaks through a faulty building process, we will repair the costume provided it is shipped back to us. If there are any issues at all they must be raised within 14 days of receiving costume. Repairs/alterations after 14 days may be subject to repair charges at our discretion.
If a costume need repairing due to negligence while wearing it will be subject to charges for repairs.
Examples of negligence include but are not limited to: Incorrectly storing/transporting costume, Altering/modifying the costume beyond fitting adjustments, exaggerated performance beyond the requirements of the costume – e.g. ordering a standard costume and using it as a dance costume. A high performance fursuit designed for dance competitions has vastly different fit requirements than a fursuit suitable for posing and parades.
If you decide to get repairs/alterations elsewhere please inform us so your warranty is still valid.
Washing and cleaning guides are provided for every costume, please be aware we cannot take responsibility for repair of damaged fur if washing instructions are not followed.
Costumes arriving for repair MUST be cleaned prior to shipping. If not, items will be sent back to you for cleaning. We do not provide a cleaning service.
If a costume arrives damaged as result of courier negligence, a claim must be submitted to them to recoup losses.
Requirements
Photo ID as proof of age MUST be provided. I am unable to accept orders from Persons under the age of 18! Faking ID will result in refusal of service.
Measurements
Costumes larger than a standard partial (Head/Paws/Tail) will need a Duct Tape Dummy and measurements to be provided. See guide – (link coming soon)
All costumes are bespoke. In order to make sure the costume fits you as best as can be, we need both DTD and measurements. Occasionally there are discrepancies between the taped form (e.g. if you taped too tightly it can shift your body shape) and the measurements.
If you are wearing support garments under your costume e.g. chest binders or body sculpting garments please ensure these are worn while constructing your DTD, if not, we cannot guarantee the desired fit. Please inform us prior to sending DTD about such requirements so we can properly accommodate your needs.
DTD must be constructed on a non-stretch material with at least 2 layers of study duck or duct tape and must include feet. If the dummy is unsuitable to build on I will require a new DTD to be constructed.
You can view out DTD guidelines here. (link coming soon)
Concept Art
For all commission works, concept art is a requirement. This art must be clear, concise and accurately reflect what you want to order. Reference art must be approved prior to payment. After a deposit has been made, any changes to concept art may incur an alteration fee. We work as close to your reference as we can within the bounds of our style and materials available to us. Exact colour matches are not always possible and is subject to manufacture availability.
For Artistic Freedom commissions, concept art is provided to you. This is a paid service out-with your costume order and you will be charged for this. The resulting artwork will be fursuit friendly and suitable for translation into a physical form.
And example of a ‘fursuit friendly’ reference can be seen below:

- Eye + Fur colour is clearly visable.
- There is no shading.
- Desired mane + long/short fur areas are apparent.
- Location of all markings line up across the character.
- Character has your intended expression
- Artwork was drawn over a human figure to accurately reflect scale and proportion. (This was made that way)
What’s my Costume Made From???
Here at Missrars Creatures, we use a range of high quality faux fur fibres from both UK and USA Imports. Where possible we try to buy from local suppliers and eco ranges. Unless otherwise stated all products are hand crafted in-house.
On occasion due to the limitation of colours available we may be unable to procure an exact match for furs. In cases like that compromises WILL have to be made. We will inform you if that is the case. If you do not like a fur palette you must inform us prior to materials being ordered. We will always inform commissioners when we buy furs for their order prior to purchasing. If you decide at a later stage you do not like the fur palette and construction has already begun, we will be unable to change this.
If you are thinking about upgrading a head only to a fullsuit, We cannot guarantee a fur match. Dye-lots between furs can change drastically between orders due to the process they are manufactured with so we recommend ordering all the parts you require at once. We do accept payment plans.
On occasion we may also accept furs supplied by the client, however they must meet our strict quality requirements. E.g. ‘fun-fur’ or craft quality fur will be refused, it’s simply just too low a quality to create any sort of durable costume from. Woven furs will also not be accepted due to their nature of laddering with use. Both are not suitable for fursuit making.
Currently our bodysuits and hand paws are unlined with removable polyfil pillows. All bodysuits have detached feet and a zipper on the belly. Padding for feet is not removable.
All of our heads are partially lined no matter the base material. We currently use a mix of 3D printing (SLA/FDM) and traditional foam sculpting (EVA/Soft) to create our masks in-house.
We use resins by Elegoo, Siraya Tech and Smooth-On.
Allergies
Please be aware we own 1 Dog, 2 Cats and 1 Corn Snake. If you have any allergies to such animals Missrars Creatures cannot guarantee an allergen free costume. Every effort has been made to ensure that pets do not come in contact with materials but this doesn’t prevent everything. If you have any allergies, even if you think they are irrelevant to your project, please notify us during your initial email to us.
During the manufacturing process, Faux Furs go through various washes. These washes can contain chemical detergents/coatings which can cause reactions to those with skin sensitivities/allergies. This is applicable to all faux furs regardless of source. Due to this, all of our costumes are laundered prior to shipping. While every effort is made to cleanse these detergents/coating from the faux fur, we cannot guarantee it 100%.
Progress Updates
Updates will be provided via our Telegram Update Channel and/or email. Occasionally we will post public updates via our social media accounts. If you do not wish updates to be shown on social media, please state so prior to payment. All completed costumes will feature in our website gallery.
You will be shown updates as major stages of the costume are reached. These stages are as follows:
Fursuits: Raw Components, Sculpted, Patterned, Tailored, Detailing (as required), Completion.
Custom Base Sculpt: Blocking-out, Detailing, Completion.
We may choose to sent additional WIP photographs throughout the building process but this is not always possible. In the case of a Rush Order, we are only able to send updates of major stages.
If you have any revisions/significant changes, these are accepted at our discretion. If we feel the changes are beyond simple alterations, you may be billed for the additional expense. Changes that require parts to be remade after prior approval, will be subject to additional payment.
Update ‘requests’ are not accepted. We issue updates as and when we are working on a project. If we have not issued an update, it means we have not reached the next major stage of your commission yet. As Missrars Creatures is a one woman crew, we would like to request you take that on board prior to contacting us about order updates.
Contacting friends and family members of Missrars Creatures for updates is highly inappropriate. every occurrence of this counts as a strike towards your commission/order. If we have not contacted you with an update, it is because we have yet to reach the next major stage in your order. Please note, this does not mean we are not working on your order. We are. Making these kinds of highly detail costumes takes a large amount of time to ensure they are up to the highest standard we can produce. Speeding up production would sacrifice our quality and we are not willing to do that.
When Will I get my Costume???
Completion depends on many factors from how complex your design is to create. If you have purchased a Premade Costume it will be shipped as soon as paid in full. The longer you take to pay, the longer you have to wait.
If you have a preferred deadline/debut for a costume we must know about it prior to payment. While we cannot guarantee or accept a convention deadline, we will endeavor to meet those needs where possible.
For convention debuts, it is highly recommended to order your costume at least a year prior to the date required to avoid any disappointment. This also gives time for you to put aside money for shipping and customs fees.
We can provide an estimated completion date according to my current work queue but it is subject to change. Email notification will always be given as soon as the situation changes if that is the case.
If you need your costume earlier than 3 months from payment it will be subject to a Rush Fee.
Rush Fees
Applicable to costumes required earlier than 6 months. If we feel we are unable to complete a Rush Order, Missrars Creatures reserves the right to decline the commission prior to payment. Failure to meet a Rush Deadline will result in refund of Rush Fee, no questions asked.
Rush fees are calculated based on how soon you need the costume. We are unable to take on any Rush work due sooner than 3 months for a head or 6 months for a fullsuit. Rush orders can only be accepted if we have your required fur palette and cast/printed components in stock.
We cannot accept highly complex designs or custom sculpts for Rush Orders.
Re-selling
If you are thinking of re-selling your suit please email us prior to doing so. Failure to do this will void any warranty left and future repairs will be subject to charges for the new owner. It also helps Missrars Creatures keep track of where our costumes go, what work has been done on them and help improve our build quality. Feedback from owners is always appreciated and where possible we take it on board for future innovations in our work.
If you are reselling a Premade all items received must be sold along with the costume E.g. if your premade has a reference figure/sculpture, it should be sold with the suit.
Re-sellers must use their own photographs to accurately reflect the condition of the costume for transparency.
Returns/Refunds/Cancellations
Unfortunately we cannot accept returns on completed orders. A completed order is a costume that has been finished and has been shipped.
If we have not shipped your finished costume and you would like to cancel it, in rare circumstances we may be able to sell it for you via proxy. This would not guarantee a full refund, just what it sells for minus payment processing fees/shipping. Otherwise you are welcome to source a new owner and we will ship it direct to them. Shipping must still be paid to us in that case. We can only hold a suit in storage for a maximum of 3 months so please ensure you have everything sorted out with the new owner prior to that.
If there is an issue regarding construction please see ‘Warranty’ above.
50% of the cost of the costume is Non-Refundable.
This covers the materials, overheads and administration/research for each project. In the event materials have not been purchased, 30% of this deposit may be refunded, subject to a case by case situation as we normally purchase materials immediately on receipt of payment.
Why do we hold 20%?? This is to cover administration costs, overheads and research. This applies to every project and is non-negotiable.
If you decide to cancel a commission part way through, you are only eligible for a 50% refund if you have paid in full. Refunds on partial payments are subject to our discretion. Your order will be salvaged and altered to be different from your reference art and finished as a Premade/Ready-To-Wear costume at a later date. This recoups the labor we have spent on making the order.
Cancellations prior to payment and charge backs may result in future refusal of service depending on the situation.
If it comes to light that a client is underage (under 18) and has provided fake photo ID/impersonated another individual, you will be promptly refunded in full and all future work will be refused at our discretion. A minor (under 18) cannot enter into a legally binding contract. Any items produced prior to shipping will be auctioned off to cover refund.
If your order has been completed and shipped, all future work will be refused at our discretion and warranty voided – in this case no refund will be afforded.
We will NOT accept orders for costumes intended for minors (under 18) purchased via proxy.
